Sri Kamakshi amman temple Kumbabishekam

The Maha Kumbabishegam of Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple was performed in a grand and spiritually uplifting manner on 22nd February 2026 at Kunniyur village. This sacred ceremony marked a historic and divine moment for the devotees of Kamakshi Amman. The rituals commenced in the early hours with Ganapathy Homam, Vedic chanting, and Yagasala poojas conducted by eminent priests as per Agama Sastras. The temple premises resonated with sacred mantras and devotional hymns, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere. At the auspicious muhurtham, the holy waters sanctified through elaborate Vedic rituals were ceremoniously poured over the temple vimana and the deity, symbolizing divine rejuvenation and blessing. Hundreds of devotees from Kunniyur and nearby villages gathered to witness this rare and sacred event and to receive the blessings of Sri Kamakshi Amman. The Maha Kumbabishegam signifies spiritual renewal, divine grace, and the continued protection of the Goddess over the village and its people.
